If you've been using this documentation as a 'wiki' of sorts, then read this.

Some information is only relevant for Thingamajigs 1, while others are relevant for Thingamajigs 2.

Think of it like distributions of an OS. There are two paths. One stays old but has fixes and features first (usually), while one moves forward, takes old features from older versions and innovates (and may introduce exclusive features).

Sometimes, this is explicitly noted in descriptions. Phrases such as "Thingamajigs 1" or "Thingamajigs 2" will show up in sentences within paragraphs about various topics here, and as such, treat them as describing content for their respective versions of Thingamajigs.
